Respectful Relationships

Respectful Relationships education is about building positive relationships for all young people. The program supports schools to model and promote positive behaviours and attitudes, and it teachers students how to build healthy relationships, resilience and confidence.

The Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships curriculum promotes social and emotional skills and positive gender norms in children and young people.

  • RRRR has been shown to improve health related outcomes and subjective wellbeing
  • RRRR also reduces antisocial behaviours including engagement in gender-related violence.
  • Curriculum covers eight topics of Social and Emotional Learning

Emotional Literacy; Personal Strengths; Positive Coping; Problem Solving; Stress Management; Help Seeking; Gender and Identity; and Positive Gender Relationships

At BLPS students engage in a RRRR lesson a fortnight and it’s principles are also embedded into other daily learning.

Creating a culture of respect, building students’ personal resilience and supporting gender equality.
