Welcome to Music

All grades have a lesson in the music room each week.  Learning areas explored include beat, pitch, tempo, dynamics, tone, colour, texture, form and melody.

A wide range of tuned and non-tuned instruments are used.  All students will have the opportunity to perform at assembly on a Wednesday afternoon.

 A developmental approach is used with the emphasis on full participation, enjoyment, skill development and building confidence.  Group work, small group and one-to-one teaching are used with an emphasis on “hands on” / practical activities.

 ‘Creative Music For Schools’ (guitar and keyboard), ‘Kool Keyboards’, Wonderful Woodwind’, ‘Vibrant Vocals’ and Drum lessons are all offered during school time as part of our Instrumental Music Program.
